MoS Dr Jitendra Singh launches India Post Payments Bank at Jammu

The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singhlaunched India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) in Jammu today. The launch was a part of the nationwide launch of IPPBs across the country that is aimed at reaching the population of the country through utilization of the postal network for banking services. The Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha (Jammu-Poonch), Shri Jugal Kishore Sharma was also present on the occasion.

ONGO Framework acquires Hockystick Media

ONGO Framework said it has recently acquired Hyderabad-based Hockystick Media in an undisclosed cash-plus-equity deal.

A digital marketing agency founded by ex-Googlers Shrikanth Katkurwar, Abhijit Gogoi, and Ambujam, Hockystick Media delivers end-to-end digital marketing solutions. It has worked with SMEs and high-growth start-ups from India, in addition to supporting digital agencies across the US and the UK.

ITI to host first ICT, IoT expo for start-ups

To enable start-ups and technology owners discuss, discover and collaborate to convert their innovative ideas into marketable products and services, ITI will host the first edition of ‘ICT & IoT Start-up Tech Expo 2018’ on September 1 and 2 at its Bengaluru plant.

More than 100 IoT, ICT and defence technology start-ups will participate in the Expo.

Kotak launches UPI 2.0 Hackathon in partnership with Nasscom, iSPIRT

Kotak Mahindra Bank (Kotak) has announced the launch of the UPI 2.0 Hackathon in partnership with Nasscom and iSPIRT. Ola launches mobility institute as a research and social innovation think tank

Ride-hailing platform, Ola, has announced the launch of the Ola Mobility Institute, a policy research and social innovation think tank to develop knowledge frameworks that will focus on the intersection of mobility and public good.

The think tank will initially focus on knowledge frameworks to better understand the social and economic impact around five centres of excellence: mobility as a service, the climate footprint of mobility innovations, skill development and job creation, transportation-oriented urban planning, and the digitisation of mobility

Binoy Kumar assumes charge as Steel Secretary

Telengana cadre Indian Administrative Services officer, Binoy Kumar, on Saturday took over as the Secretary of the Ministry of Steel. He had been posted as Officer on Special Duty in the Steel Ministry since May 21, 2018

R Madhavan takes charge as HAL CMD

R Madhavan has taken charge as the Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. Till now, Suvarnu Raju was the CMD.

Prior to this, Madhavan was heading the Accessories Division of HAL at Lucknow as an Executive Director.

6th East Asia Summit And 15th India-ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting Held In Singapore

Commerce & Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu attended the 6th East Asia Summit- Economic Ministers’ Meeting (EAS-EMM) and 15th India-ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting (AEM) in Singapore. Singapore is currently holding the Chair of ASEAN.

The 6th East-Asia Economic Ministers’ Meeting was chaired by Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Trade and Industry, Singapore, and was attended by Economic Ministers from 10 ASEAN countries and their eight dialogue partners, Australia, China, India, Japan, Republic of Korea, New Zealand, the Russian Federation and the United States of America

India, Nepal Sign MoU On Preliminary Survey Of Railway Line Between Raxaul & Kathmandu

India and Nepal have signed an MoU on Preliminary Engineering-cum-Traffic Survey on Broad Gauge Rail Line between Raxaul (Bihar) and Kathmandu. Jain Muni Tarun Sagar Passes Away

Jain Muni Tarun Sagar passed away at the age of 51 in Delhi’s Radhapuri Jain temple due to prolonged illness. The monk, who was known for his lecture series ‘Kadve Pravachan’, was suffering from jaundice and other ailments.
