Q12 Option A
(100.5 + 67 + 141 + 143.9 + 65)/5 = 103.48

Q13 Option A
As we see the table we see that the performance of only year i.e. 1988 is less than the year 1985. Hence the percentage corresponding to 1988 should be less than 100. Thus we see that (c) cannot be the Option.
Also (b) cannot be the Option as it shows two of the years having less than 100%.Between options (a) and (d), the correct Option is (a). This is because the difference between the 1985 and 1988 performance is only 2 units on 67 units. Hence percentage wise, it has to be 97% and not 68%.

Q14. Option B
The highest percentage decrease over the previous year is in year 1988 as in the table, and the performance is almost half than that of the previous year. Such a decrease is not seen in any other year, so the right Option is b

Q15. Option B
The differences between the percentages of candidates qualified to appear for the given pairs of years are:
For 1994 and 1995 = 50 – 30 = 20.
For 1998 and 1999 = 80 – 80 = 0.
For 1994 and 1997 = 50 – 30 = 20.
For 1997 and 1998 = 80 – 50 = 30.
For 1999 and 2000 = 80 – 60 = 20.

Thus, the maximum difference is between the years 1997 and 1998.

Q16. Option D
The graph gives the data for the percentage of candidates qualified to appeared and unless the absolute values of number of candidates qualified or candidates appeared is know we cannot compare the absolute values for any two years.
Hence, the data is inadequate to solve this question.

Q17. Option C

Q18. Option D

The total number of candidates qualified in 1996 and 1997 together, cannot be determined until we know at least, the number of candidates appeared in any one of the two years 1996 or 1997 or the percentage of candidates qualified to appeared in 1996 and 1997 together.

Hence, the data is inadequate.
